At PeopleDoc, we strive to make the difficult parts of the work-life easier for both employees and HR. For example, last month we released key functionality to make our platform more accessible to the widest possible audience, including those with disabilities.
Another way we do this is by enabling your teams to spend less time on manual, administrative tasks, so you can spend more time with your people. With Advanced Document Generation, you can create dynamic, logic-based documents in ⅓ the time it took you previously.
We’ve added new functionality to Advanced Document Generation in the February release that enables you to more easily generate documents with conditional logic.
New Field Type: Dropdown List
Many of our customers are creating document templates that contain conditional logic, which allows you to display or hide specific paragraphs or clauses depending on the employee. This feature is particularly useful in the generation of offer letters or contract addendums where you might want to display personalized text, like a mobility clause, based on the employees location or job level.
Previously, the user who generated the document didn’t know what to type into the field in order to trigger the conditional logic and display the correct paragraph or clause.
To improve the user experience, we added a new field type “Dropdown-List” in the document template creation wizard. At the time of generation, the user can now view all the options, making it easy to select the right item in the dropdown list to display the desired content in the generated document.
This update provides your teams the necessary tools to ensure they can quickly and easily generate even the most complex, logic-based documents in a matter of seconds.
An exciting new feature coming to Advanced Document Generation in the March release is Automatically Archiving a Generated Document. This new functionality not only promotes compliance best practices, but it also eliminates the manual step of archiving generated documents - saving you valuable time, while reducing human error. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates on that.
